Dog Friendly Places in Malibu

dogs_on_beach.pngWhere can I take my dog to the beach?

Malibu is a city full of dog lovers but it's not always easy to find public places to bring your pooch. According to the City of Malibu's website: Dogs are not allowed on any public beach in Malibu. Residents may have dogs on a leash on their own beachfront property.

There's one public beach just outside of Malibu's western city limit where you can take your dog. It's Leo Carillo State Park's North Beach. Dog's must be kept on a leash but you can walk your dog on the sand and on the beach trail.

You can also walk your dogs along the stretch of the Zuma beach parking lot. Keep in mind that you must park on PCH and walk your dog into the parking lot. They must be leashed and are not allowed on the sand. This is a favorite early morning activity for locals and visitors.
